Diyatha Uyana (දියත උයන), a waterfront park in Battaramulla
Diyatha Uyana (දියත උයන) is a waterfront park with a food court located at Polduwa (පොල්දූව) junction in Battaramulla. There is also a children's play area and it is also in close proximity to the famous Waters Edge Hotel. This park was constructed on marshy land and on the banks of the 'Diyawanna Oya' waterway. Diyatha Uyana Park was opened in late 2012 by Mr. Basil Rajapaksa who was then the Minister of Economic Development and Secretary to the ministries of Defense and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who is the current president of Sri Lanka. The project was carried out by the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and the Civil Security Department personnel under the close guidance and supervision of the Secretary of Defense and Urban Development who made Colombo and other cities so beautiful and clean for its people
